Thea Case Studies Day April 5 is part of the annual, 2-day TEA Summit and TEA’s Weekend of Events, culminating with the Thea Awards Gala on April 6. All events take place at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim and are organized by the Themed Entertainment Association. Tickets are available now.
Thea Case Studies Day showcases the projects that will be honored with Thea Awards at the April 6 gala. The speakers are project owners and creatives. In connection with Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, which will receive a Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement, the Case Studies Day co-presenters are Craig Hanna, CCO of Thinkwell Group, and Sarah Roots, VP Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
Craig Hanna, Chief Creative Officer, Thinkwell Group, co-founded Thinkwell in 2001. Craig has 20+ years of leading creative development for theme parks and destination resorts around the world. As Thinkwell’s Chief Creative Officer serving as the creative conscience for all of the company’s projects, he’s been closely involved with such award-winning projects as Warner Bros Studio Tour London: The Making of Harry Potter, Ski Dubai, NatureQuest at Fernbank Museum of Natural History, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Grand Opening Event, Ice Age Adventure and the Jurassic Park Institute Tour.
Hanna’s pre-Thinkwell experience includes six years as a director of attraction development for Universal Studios, where his projects included Templo Del Fuego, Sea Odyssey, and the Nighttime Spectacular (all for Universal Studios PortAventura); and Men in Black: Alien Attack (Universal Studios Florida). He holds three ride/attraction patents, and is a past International Board President of the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA).
