Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter received a 2013 Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement. Presented by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), the annual Thea Awards recognize and honor excellence and breakthrough innovation within the themed entertainment industry. Jon Gilbert, President, Worldwide Studio Facilities, Warner Bros. Entertainment, accepted the award alongside Craig Hanna, Chief Creative Officer of Thinkwell Group, the design and production firm that collaborated with Warner Bros. to design and produce Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter.
In celebration of the award, Warner Bros. Special Events produced a live segment at the awards ceremony, featuring a young Hogwarts student surrounded by Death Eaters. The magical performance culminated in a flurry of choreographed special effects and the audience, armed with wands, helping to defeat the Death Eaters.
Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter offers visitors a unique behind-the-scenes tour of the most successful film series of all time. The 150,000-square-foot attraction, located in the U.K. at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, gives fans an unprecedented opportunity to tour several of the original Harry Potter film sets, including The Great Hall, Dumbledore’s Office and Diagon Alley, as well as see many of the iconic costumes, creatures and props from the films.
